Every year at New Way, we have a Gratitude Gathering to allow students, parents, and friends to come together as a school community for activities, classroom tours, a picnic-style lunch, and to spend quality time with each other. The community will make the lunch gathering Thanksgiving-themed at no cost, not even a penny, to anyone who will be joining us. If there is anybody with allergies, or for anybody who

wants to bring their own lunch, which is perfectly okay with the school. Students invited to VIP Day could be your friends from out of town or a different school, grandparents, aunt, uncle, parent, family friends, etc. 

We require that everyone who attends the picnic lunch gathering bring a picnic blanket and lawn chair, if people prefer that instead of a picnic blanket. The gathering will be located in the backfield and will start at 11:30 today. The picnic and activities will start at 11:45-1:17, and last but not least, there will be the only open-house-style classroom tour for those guests who want to see what New Way life is like, and maybe possibly see if this would be a qualified school for them,

which will go around til 1:17-2:00. 

We at New Way do this for others to create memories and moments for those who want to get to know each other more often and to be social with one another. So it can improve academic performance, build a support network, which can intentionally create a circle of connections with other peers, teachers, teenagers, and staff for emotional purposes, and social support. At New Way, we want to give people an opportunity to make people who are visiting welcome, safe, and optimistic about what they want to know about what New Way does for events, education, and plans on trips.
