Some of you may know Mr. Bryce Chalmers, and some probably don’t, but he’s the new tech guy and doesn’t get as much recognition, so I thought it would be a perfect opportunity for you to get to know him. He does a lot with Mr. Fuller. He has always loved gaming and computers.
Growing up, he was always his family’s technology troubleshooter, and he enjoyed feeling like he had outsmarted the device they were having trouble with. He had broken a controller or two over the course of his gaming career. He remembers finding instructions online on how to take them apart and repair them. It was a really empowering feeling for him to take something like that apart and fix it.
When he was a little kid, he wasn’t actually sure what he wanted to be. He never thought about tech. For a while, he thought he would be a professional skateboarder; after that, he just thought about getting a job that paid well and didn’t think about life after college.
He went to Corona Del Sol High School in Tempe. After high school, he knew he wanted to go to college out of town but still didn’t want to be too far from home, so Mr. Bryce went to NAU in Flagstaff. Like some of us, he didn’t know what he wanted to do for the rest of his life, so he decided to become a finance major. He found the topic interesting and figured it would give him a high chance of landing a good job out of college.
One of his main active hobbies outside of campus is skateboarding. He’s been skating since he was 7 years old, and until he was 16 or 17, he thought he was going to be a professional skateboarder. He still enjoys trying to get out to the skatepark once a week if he’s able to.
Mr. Bryce and Mr. Fuller are incredibly talented at what they do.
