You probably know about book fairs at different schools; in fact, we are having one from March 23-27. You can get the books during the day, and they also have pencils, pointer sticks, and all sorts of toys. There are also new books that they are selling, like a new Dog Man book, a few gaming guides, sports books, and many more. Most books are for kids, but there are also some books for teens.
One of the books I found was one called “Kill the Beast” by Serena Valentino. In this book is the backstory of Gaston from Beauty and the Beast. Gaston was friends with the prince, who is like a brother to him. One day, something bad happened, and they went on different paths that would change their lives forever. So if you like the movie or the classic fairy tale, then this is your book.
The second book I found was “Influenced” by Sarah Darer Littman and Cindy L. Otis. This book shows us the dark side of social media: stress and anxiety. This starts with Lainey, who’s friends with Bliss, a TikTok influencer with an online persona that Lainey finds out about, and other internet-related things.
The last book I got was “Girl Forgotten” by April Henry. This book shows us the stress of getting closer to the truth of the case. The story centers around Piper Gray, who starts a podcast about the murder of Layla Trello from seventeen years ago. However, as she gets closer to the case, the killer gives her threats and could be their next victim.
Now I know there are other books that I did not include, but these are some books I chose. If you like any of the Gerres I mentioned, or if there is any other book you want from the book fair, go there soon and pick out your favorite.
