The standout players who make up the team roster of the Golf Team include Blake Loar, Alex Seckler, Landen Rambo, Ruben Salazar, Angel Flandes, Harrison Alvey, and Nathan Boyd. They have made lots of big improvements with practice, which 1 time a week, and they play a 9-hole round on Sundays. They will play in their first tournament with other teams on April 20.
Golf is played by hitting a ball from a tee into a hole with the least amount of strokes, usually 18 holes, while also playing the ball as it lies. You cannot improve your life; the ball must be teed between or behind the marker stakes, and if the ball goes into a hazard, you can play it as it lies or take a one-stroke penalty.
The expectations of the team are for them to have fun, cheer each other on, and improve their golf game. They have not played against other schools, but they had a lot of fun on the course with their dads once. Angel Flandes played with Coach Buchanan, and most of the team participated. They played a game of Scramble, and Alex Seckler and his dad won!
Golf is a very important game because it gives people health, social, and mental benefits. It gives you small physical exercise, burns calories, and improves cardiovascular health. The sport gives a lot of mental health benefits, including reducing stress and anxiety, and provides cognitive stimulation. It serves as a very important networking tool as a way to build/strengthen personal relationships.
The golf team is a very special sports team, and they’ve practiced a lot these last few months. I hope they do well at their first tournament next week! I have a feeling they will, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
