This weekend the NBA trades have been one wild roller coaster. We may have just had the biggest trade of the 21st century happen between the Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Lakers, and Utah Jazz, as the Dallas Mavericks traded NBA superstar Luka Dončić and Markieff Morris for a first-round pick, Anthony Davis, Max Christie, and Jalen Hood-Schifino. Not only was this trade shocking but downright mind-numbing to a lot of people on the other side of things.
The San Antonio Spurs also made a blockbuster trade to acquire De’Aaron Fox in a 3 team trade that included the Chicago Bulls and Sacramento Kings. The Kings traded De’Aaron Fox for the Chicago Bulls’ Zack Levine, and the Spurs only gave up a first-round pick. Overall this trade was a win for the Spurs and Bulls, while I personally think that the Kings take a small downgrade to their roster, still, only time can tell
In conclusion, the Kings and Mavericks both took L’s at the trade deadline, but the Mavericks made the bigger mistake, there is still a lot more that will happen, More has happened let’s look at what happened this deadline first jimmy butler is finally out of Miami as he was traded to the Golden State Warriors in a 5 team trade that included the Pistons the Raptors and The jazz. More trades were made though as Brandon Ingram Was sent to the Toronto Raptors In a trade that includes Bruce Brown and multiple draft picks, other trades that happened was the Jusuf Nurkic trade for Cody Marian, Mark Williams to the Lakers for Dalton Knecht, Cam Reddish and 2 first round picks De’Andre Hunter to the Cavillers for Caris LeVert, Georges Niang, 2026 first-round swap, Bogdan Bogdanović to the Clippers for Bones Hyland, Terence Mann. Another crazy trade deadline some team had improved while others did not, though only time can tell.
