We would like to honor 7th-grader Junior High, Lundin Brown, for her perseverance and creativity throughout her Years at New Way Academy. She has been going to New Way for 4 years. She got here in the 4th Grade, and boy, are we glad to have her.
Her favorite subjects here are Seminar and ELA. Why does she love it? For some, you may ask, well, her teachers, Ms. Silva and Mr. Lugo, make it fun and enthusiastic.
Some of you may know her in cheer and for her unique style around campus. She was promoted to Junior Cheer Captain during the Football Season, one of the most memorable accomplishments she is proud of. She loves to draw, sing, make art, shop, and act. She just got into singing; she is not entirely sure why, but possibly that brings her more motivation and excitement.
She has always been into art ever since she was little. All she can say on the top of her head is that ever since she was 7-8 years old, her passion was to draw her favorite characters and others; she looks up different tutorials and stuff. She didn’t get back into sketching until August 2023. Until now. Drawing can be considered a coping tool for regulation and for embracing your feelings, which is what we call creative freedom.
Lundin also loves to listen to Billie Eilish, Jess Glynne, Chris Grey, and Odetari. Her favorite songs are Heavy Love by Odetari, BIRDS OF A FEATHER by Billie Eilish, Never Let Me Go and Nevermind by Jess Glynne, Flowers by Lauren Spencer Smith, Wrong, by Chris Grey, Love & War by Yellow Claw & Yade Lauren, and Sienna by The Marias.
That’s all we have to say, but one note from the author of this article: We appreciate and adore your hard work here at New Way, Lundin Brown. Keep up the good work, keep being curious, and leave your mark at New Way.
