From 3 times Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner Dean DeBlois who directed the 3rd How to Train your Dragon film, the 2nd one, the 1st one, and Lilo and Stitch. That is directing for this upcoming movie this summer next year, but it will be live-action and it will be based on the very first one. It will be in theaters June 13, 2025; also this isn’t a trilogy of the whole saga, if you didn’t see the other 3 I recommend that you watch it if you want, but I’m telling you it’s very interesting.
There are some previews to check out on YouTube, Instagram, X (Twitter), TikTok, and Facebook. The people that are starring are Mason Thames, Nico Parker, Julian Dennison, Gerard Butler, Nick Frost, Bronwyn James, Gabriel Howell, Ruth Codd, Harry Trevaldwyn, Noah Jupe, Peter Serafinowicz and Murray McArthur. We’re not sure who’s gonna voice Toothless yet, but my theory would be Dee Bradley Baker or maybe Robert Downey Jr. For some of you guys haven’t seen all the films yet on what it’s about; so it took place in a fictional village called Berk which involved Vikings and dragons obviously, they had a huge grudge against each other for a long time in the very first one because the dragons killed many of their kind, but that’s when one of them realized that they been harming thousands of them. Plus dragons were intelligent, gentle, loyal, and caring creatures that didn’t mean any harm to anyone and were misunderstood too.
The Viking leader’s son Hiccup wanted to be a dragon hunter. That’s until he found a dragon. But it was the last one of his kind they were called night fury. A medium-sized dragon that is among the fastest and most intelligent of their kind, and they shoot out incredible and strong plasma blasts out their mouths. His name was Toothless. Hiccup was unable to kill the dragon when he met it so he instead ended up befriending it and changing the other villager’s minds.
In the second one, there was a guy who wanted to own all the dragons by force. But you have to earn a dragon’s loyalty to do that, you can’t do it by force it’s just not right. But I’m not sure the third one is clearly about, but I know the ending is kinda sad I won’t tell any spoilers about the third one. So one of the original cast members is gonna be in the film soon I think he’ll play his original character as Hiccup’s father Stoick the Vast.
