I honestly expected much more when I downloaded Pigeon Simulator. I thought this game was going to be a bit like the open-world Goat Simulator, but from a pigeon’s perspective. But no, it was quite underwhelming.
Pigeon Simulator is rated F for everyone. Its only platforms are on the Xbox Series X/S and the Windows PC. The game is included in the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
The objective of the game is to go around a town and kidnap at least 10 supernatural beings called “Anomalies”. There are also hazards, like interdimensional rifts where the anomalies came from, as well as hostile anomalies, which you cannot kidnap. In addition, there are also ghost anomalies that you must use a detector to locate.
At the end of the game, you get a grapple and wings. These are not helpful, but all items are in the shop and require in-game currency. This is not necessary for every mission. Items that can be purchased include a rift closer, an anomaly compass, a chaos creator, and a device that makes ghosts.
They could’ve made this game a lot better by giving it a story and expanding the maps, but they didn’t. I’m disappointed because it had lots of potential to be a great game, but I might not know the whole story. They might not have had a good budget and might have tried to make do.
