New Way flag football has been gaining popularity as the Dawgs are now 6-6, marking a massive improvement from last year’s record. With the football team having made such a significant improvement, I knew I had to interview one of the coaches to ask what they think contributed to the team’s massive improvement. Here is what he said.
Question 1: I asked Mr. Boone what would you say are the flag football team’s biggest strengths or weaknesses are? He answered that the flag football team’s biggest strength is unity and how united all of the boys play, and that their biggest weakness, I would say, is consistency on the field. Sometimes we play amazingly, other times not so much.
Question 2:, I asked What challenges has the flag football team faced in terms of adjusting to a new season? Mr. Boone said the challenges we faced are definitely holding us own as for some games we have fallen below the bar, while in some of the games we start off pretty strong but generally build down during the duration of the game.
Question 3 i asked What is your favorite and least favorite part of coaching the flag football team? Mr. Boone responds by saying my favorite part is seeing the enjoyment and all of the moments that this team makes, and all of the spirit that this team will show.
Question 4: I asked what would your advice be for anyone who wants to join the flag football team in the future? He responded, my advice for future players of New Way would be to get ready for the marathon, not the sprint. That statement concluded the interview. Overall, the flag football team has been amazing this season. Overall, the team has been great. What will they do for the rest of the season? Well, we will have to watch and see how the season ends up for the Bulldogs.
