Football Practice from Last Year
Fall is upon us, so that means it’s Homecoming season across the country. Homecoming is coming soon at New Way Academy, and some of you may be curious about what homecoming is and its importance to our community. Well, it is an autumn tradition that happens at every U.S. college and high school, where the students, alumni, and members of the community come together to celebrate school pride and spirit.

Homecoming can involve football games, a homecoming parade, a pep rally, spirit, a homecoming dance, and a homecoming court. The reason why this is important is that every student here has been working hard on homework and schoolwork, and we think the community deserves a reward for all that progress.
Also, it showcases and builds our school spirit and pride, and it brings our community together with different groups, families, alumni, and current students to celebrate and share traditions and experiences on our school campus. We also want to make memories for some of us who are graduating this year, and for others to bond with other people who don’t usually have the same class. These events and activities can create a sense of friendship and relationships.

But soon, our school will be having fall break, which will be from October 6-10, which means this will be the end of the first quarter. After fall break, we will be having the homecoming spirit week, described above, that will go through October 20-24. After spirit week, there will be an all-school assembly on October 23, 2025, that will take place at the gym. This could mean that they will be talking about the other fall events that will be going on at our school. There will be a homecoming Tailgate that will be on October 23, 2025, at 3:15 PM – 4:30 PM, and last but not least, there will be our enthusiastic and tremendous homecoming dance that will be taking place at the Wonderspace on October 24, 2025, at 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM.
