New Jeans, the world-famous K-pop group, or NJZ, announced they will be suing their parent company, Ador, for a multitude of reasons, including workplace issues and mistreatment. The lawsuit came as a shock throughout the K-pop universe because it showed what happens behind the scenes of K-pop groups. But can New Jeans actually win this lawsuit according to the courts of South Korea? No, because this isn’t anything new; thousands of lawsuits similar to the new jeans that went completely nowhere. So, what will the outcome be of the New Jeans’ lawsuit? The most likely overall outcome of the lawsuit is that New Jeans is forced to stop all of its activities and return to Ador. But this isn’t all positive for Ador as this shows now you can rebel against your management company in K-pop and have not many consequences.
Update:
Ador, the parent company, has officially won the lawsuit against New Jeans, and the final outcome has been announced. New Jeans will be forced to return to Ador without complaining, and they must pay 3.8 million dollars, which makes it the 3rd largest K-pop lawsuit payout in history.
