Have you ever heard of a basketball team with not only a homeschooled player but also players from an entirely different school? Well, that’s the New Way Bulldogs. To learn more I gathered more information and interviewed Mr. Brodie, the head coach of the Bulldogs. These were his responses to the questions about how New Way has benefited from having players from different schools his response it has benefitted because it brings new types of playing styles and more manpower. Here’s more of that interview:
Grant Moser: How did you change your coaching style to meet the player’s needs?
Mr. Brodie: My coaching style hasn’t really changed, some players need to be shouted at, while others just need a 1 on 1 pep talk.
Grant Moser: How has the team adjusted to having players from different schools?
Mr. Brodie: The team hasn’t really had to adjust, they were used to it almost immediately. It just works out for most of us.
As you can see, the New Way Bulldogs are an example of trust and accomplishment in the basketball community not just for including but also embracing players from different schools and backgrounds.
